Today, we will make Idli sandwich
It a tastier less oil breakfast
You can pack it in the lunch boxes of kids
You can serve it for the evening snacks
They really enjoy having it
Come, let us start the cooking
First, we will make the batter foR Idli
We took a cup of semolina
It is a regular semolinathough, you can use the finer sized too.
Regular semolina helps to make it puffy
Add it in the bowl
Add a cup of curd
to it
You can decrease thequantity of curd to 1/2 cup
If its a sour curd or you don't like it
Mix water according to your desired quantity
Mix it well
Add a 1/2 teaspoon of salt to it
If the batter apperas thick then,add some more water to it
We have to make the batter similar tothe batter of lentils and rice of Idli
We can make the batter oflentils and rice for it too.
The batter is ready
Leave it to rest for 10-15 minutes
The batter should expand properly
In the meantime, we will make the stuffing
We are making the stuffing of potato and peas
It is enjoyed by many people
We took 3 boiled potatoes for it
We will peel them
Finely mash them
Preheat the pan for cooking the stuffing
Add 2 teaspoon of oil
Heat it
The oil has heated
Add a 1/4 teaspoon of mustard seeds to it
It is also known as Sarson seeds
Add 1/4 teaspoon of cumin seeds
Add 2 finely chopped deseed chillies
to make it less spicy
Decrease the quantity of green chilli or avoidit if the kids doesn't wants to eat spicy
Add a 1/2 teaspoon of ginger paste
You can grated ginger instead of it
Saute it
Add 1/4 teaspoon of green peas
Add a 1/2 teaspoon of salt to it
Cover and cook for 2 minutes
to make them soft
Keep the flame from low to medium
2 mintes have passed
The peas has become soft too
We will mash it by pressing with a spatula
Add 2 teaspoons of water to make them soft
Add 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder
Add a teaspoon of coriander powder
Stir and suate for 1/2 minute
Keep the flame on low
Roasting the turmeric powderslightly is important
It helps to remove its rawness
The Masala mkxture has roasted
Add the mashed potatoes to it
Add 1/4 teaspoon of red chilli powder
You can increase or decrease its quantity according to your taste
Add 1/4 teaspoon of mango powder
It helps to enhance the taste
It gives it slight sourness
Add some finely chopped green coriander
Stir and roast more for 1-2 minutes
The stuffing has cooked and ithas a soothing fragnance too.
We will remove it in a plate to cool it
15 minutes have passed
The batter has expanded too
It appears thick to us
Semolina has expanded
Now, we will add a 1/2 teaspoon of Eno fruit salt to it
Add some water over it to raise it
Mix it well
The batter is ready and it is similarto the batter of Lentils and rice
It consistency is pouring but, not too much
It is not too thick too

Take a vessel in which you canfix the stand well to make Idli
Add water and preheat it
Today, we ware using a vessel sothat we can fix some mini bowl in it
because we are making Idli in it
We took this vessel
Placed a stand in it
We will add 2 to 2.5 cups of water in it
Preheat it
The batter has expanded well
We utlized more than 1/4cup of water to make it
We took these 5 mini bowls to make the Idli
As we are making sandwich Idli somini bowls are more prefferable
for it because will help to provideit better size and texture
Grease the bowls
Using this method, we can make Idliseasily without even having a Idli stand
Add some batter in it
Fill the 1/3rd portion of the bowls
Spread it evenly using the shown method
Fill all the mini bowls likewise
The water is boiling well
Turn the flame to low
Place the mini bowls carefully in it
Cover it and turn the flamefrom medium to high
Let it cook for 10 minutes
10 minutes have passed
The Idlis have cooked and thereis no need of checking them
They appear amazing to us
Remove them to cool down
We switched off the flame
They have cooled down
We will remove them out of the mini bowl
We will remove them using a knife
Rotate the knife from all the corners
Tap with less pressure to remove them
The spongy Idli has cooked well
Remove all the cooked Idlis likewise
Now, we will make their sandwich
Chop it into a half carefully
Make sure it does not split
Add the stuffing in its center
Spread it evenly
Cover it using the other half
The sandwich is ready
Stull all the Idlis likewise
The sandwiches are ready
Now, we will make them crispy
We took this pan
Preheat it
Grease it with some oil
Add 1/4 teaspoon of mustard seeds to it
It will help to enhance its taste
It will help to improve its appearance too
Roast them
Turn the flame to medium
Place them to fry
Fry them on the medium flame for 2 minutes
2 minutes have passed
Apply some oil on its another side too
Flip them
The Idlis has become crispy
Fry it from the other side too likewise
Fry it for 2 minutes on the medium flame
We cooked them from other side too
We made them slightly from brown from other side too
Remove them
The Idli sandwich has cooked
It is tastier to eat
You can serve it along with thedip of peanut of coconut.
or tomato dip
You can even serve it alongwith spicy green coriander dip
Everyone loves eating it

For the stuffing 1- Take 3 boiled potatoes, peel and mash them finely. 2- Preheat a pan and add 2 teaspoons of oil to it. 3- Add ¼ teaspoon of mustard seeds, ¼ teaspoon of cumin seeds, 2 finely chopped deseed green chillies, a ½ teaspoon of ginger paste and saute it. 4- Add green peas and saute it. 5- Add a ½ teaspoon of salt to it and cook while covering it for 2 minutes. 6- Cook them on the low-medium flame to make them soft. 7- After 2 minutes, the stuffing has cooked. 8- Press peas to mash them. 9- Add 2 teaspoon of water to it for making soft. 10- Add ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder, a teaspoon of coriander powder, stir and roast them for half a minute on the low flame. 11- Add the mashed potatoes, ¼ teaspoon of red chilli powder, ¼ teaspoon of mango powder and some finely chopped green coriander to it. 12- Stir and cook for a minute or two. 13- The stuffing has cooked, take it out in a separate bowl to cool down. For the sandwich 1- Divide the cooked idlis into two equal halves. 2- Add 1 to 2 teaspoon of stuffing on it and spread it evenly. 3- Place another half over it for covering it. 4- Prepare all the sandwich likewise. 5- Take a pan and heat it.
